Welcome to the Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty and beautiful landscapes to explore. Hopefully you’ve already unveiled the dark secret this game hides. It’s called denuvo anti-tamper the performance killer. This thing is so strong that Ubisoft had to add their own protection which will torture your CPU to near death while just playing the game. If we put all the bad things aside, Assassin’s Creed Origins is almost a perfect game, minus the performance impact of their piracy protection thingie they have in place.

Performance impact on the CPU is so bad that even the fastest CPUs on the market can’t keep up with the demand. I know, I know Ubisoft stated that the drops aren’t happening due to piracy protections, but trust me. I tested this god damn thing on many different configurations and 100% CPU usage kicks in every once in a while on different occasions. However, enough of me trying to explain something nobody wants to know, but it’s a problem and I had to address it on the start of this video.

But we are not here to learn about piracy protections today. But.. there’s a reason why we are here. In today’s video we’ll try to hopefully improve performance in Assassin’s torture of the CPU game from Ubisoft. Okay so.. you really don’t need to download anything for this particular game, but I’ll show you the way it’s meant to be done. It’s a lot easier to follow when you have the instructions on your screen, than in video. So basically, first of all what you need to do is to download the Low Specs Experience. This is a free tool designed by me and a few other folks in order to help you improve performance on your favorite games. Please note that for this particular game we’ll be doing manual optimization, instead of the automatic one you’re maybe used of seeing. After you download it and install it, simply start it from your Desktop shortcut. Go through these startup menus and then type in Assassin’s Creed Origins and press this button right here. This 7-Zip installation will load. Press browse and select the destination folder where your game has been installed and press extract.

Now go to that folder and start ragnotech optimization control panel. Once you’re on this window simply follow the instructions given in this window and after that start your game. I’ll speed the video up a little bit so you don’t waste the time watching me configure my config file the way it’s shown in this window. After you’ve done that simply start your game. If you want lower resolutions, don’t change the resolution in-game, rather experiment with pixel density value in the configuration file itself. As you can see if I go all the way down the game will run on higher framerate, but will appear more pixelated than on higher values.

I’m gonna stick with the one that gives me the best ratio on performance and quality. So yeah. That’s all I had to share with you guys for this video. Please do like and subscribe if you found this video useful, dislike it if you feel the complete opposite. I’ll see you next time with a whole new video. This has been Ragnos, signing off… .
