Battlefield 1 Chauchat. Welcome to the Chauchat Low Weight. Today I will disclose everything that you need to know to dominate the Battlefield with this new rifle. The Chauchat was named after its main contributor Colonel Louis Chauchat. In total, 262,000 Chauchat machine rifles were manufactured between December 1915 and November 1918, including 244,000 chambered for the 8mm Lebel service cartridge, making it the most widely manufactured automatic weapon of World War I.

Let’s start with the statistics because this will allow you to adjust your play style and strategy. 35 damage up to a range of 10 meters, like most guns in Battlefield 1 this damage will drop and it will still cause 25 damage at 30 meters, so you can still take advantage of the fact that you will only need 3 bullets to kill within 12 meters and 4 within 30 meters. The damage will continue to drop and eventually it will settle at 23 damage at 40 meters. The chauchat can fire 360 rounds per minute which is by far the slowest rate of fire of all primary weapons for the support class.

The muzzle velocity is equally worse, 720 meters per second, again the slowest. On paper this doesn’t look very good and in reality it’s the same thing. The chauchat only excels at dealing damage. If you combine all of these statistics then you will know that it will only take you 0.336 seconds to kill your enemy. Be careful, because the time to kill will jump up as soon as you need 4 bullets to kill. This time to kill is even better than the TTK of the BAR so it will definitely give you an advantage on the battlefield.

Damage is everything for this rifle, but only if you can deal with the slow rate of fire and the slow muzzle velocity. When you deploy on the battlefield, with your shiny new rifle, you will start off with 20 bullets in your magazine and you will carry another 80 for later. The reload times are pretty good, seconds for an empty reload and seconds for a reload with bullets left. Only the BAR does better. The deploy time is seconds and it has a standard bullet drop of 12 meters per second squared. In Battlefield 1, the chauchat low weight comes equipped with a bipod. You can select and iron sights or AA sights, the highest magnification that you can select is a 2 times magnification and you can change the recoil direction. If you want to get your hands on this new rifle for the support class then you will have to get 50 kills with the lewis gun suppressive and you will have to get 75 resupplies.

The 50 kills is easy and the resupplies is even easier. There is no excuse not to unlock this gun because it almost takes zero effort. Just play 2 rounds and that’s it. This was FOG of GAMING, thanks for watching and I will see you on the Battlefield!.
