Hey everyone, it‘s Noarey here with another two-minute guide on Farming. In Black Desert, instead of gathering, you can also grow a lot of the plants used for Cooking and Alchemy. This can be way more effective, because you dont need to send workers or spend a lot of energy. To do that you only need a Fence, Seeds, and some Time. You will get your fist Fence after completing some quests at the Northern Guard Camp close to Heidel, and you can rent bigger Fences with contribution points. Fences can hold up to 10 plants. You can buy Seeds from vendors, like Hunt in Heidel, but you can also find them by gathering from thickets and bushes.
Once you have a few, place down your fence outside of a town and go into place mode. You can see all the seeds in your inventory at the bottom and you can click on them to plant them anywhere inside your fence. Most seeds will occupy one seed slot, but there are also some that require two. Once you place them, they need a set amount of time to grow. You can accellerate this process by using crafted fertilizer. If you want to harvest the crops, you need to look after your plants.
Sometimes they need pruning, sometimes they need water. Just bring some distilled water and water your plants. Plants will bring the highest amount of crops if you care for them immediately. The fence icon on you map will turn red if your plants need attention. If you just want more seeds you dont have to care for your plants. Just return when they‘re fully grown, and instead of harvesting them by hitting R you need to hit F1 to get the seeds. Chances are, youll get a seed of a higher rarity, which will produce more crops than a regular plant once its grown.
It‘s a good idea to hold back some good seeds for breeding instead of harvesting them all, so you never run out. You can lower the amount of time you have to spend caring for your garden by adding a waterway and a scarecrow, both produced by crafting, but they will require one seed slot each. If you want to maximize your harvest you should try to get good seeds quickly, breed them to get more of them and then always keep a healthy ratio of harvesting and breeding, so you will never run out.
I guess thats all I can tell you about Farming, so buy some seeds and get started. For more Black Desert Guides check out my channel, thanks for watching!.
