New Pokemon Sun and Moon news have just Hit the web and I’ve got to say, these might be the best games of the series. But one thing I thought for sure we would be getting from this sun and moon trailer was the fossils. And if of course if you have seen the video… we haven’t. Fossils although not the most important feature in the games, still provide some great pokemon for us to obtain. That is why today I am going to be showing you guys what I think would be the best possible fossil pokemon for pokemon sun and moon. And I’m not going to be just showing you guys the final forms, I will also be showing pre evolutions and the fossils themselves.

And of course I did not make this art myself… (Whispers Pray for my drawing skills) The art that I will be showing you guys in this video is all made by my good friend smiley. Link to his devianart is in the description. If you guys enjoy the video be seure to leave a like subscribe and share this video with a friend, and with that being said let’s get started. Now before I show you guys the fossils I just want to mention that there really is no tie in between the fossils and the islands of hawaii. The reason for this is because hawaii is really really young. Therefore most of the really cool prehistoric animals like the dinosaurs were never around hawaii.

All they had was this thing, and a ton of birds, No. I mean both of these pokemon are sea creatures so i’m sure they could have been swimming around that area at some point. So with all that being said let me introduce you to the first of two fossils: the gland fossil. Now I know this fossil may look like certain male genitalia but in all honesty I love the design of this fossil. I love how Smiley stays true to a Ken Sugimori’s style of art and really makes look like it’s actually part of the games. I can see this fossil being obtained through the diving mechanic that was used in omega ruby and alpha sapphire. It would a fun and interesting way to find the fossils. Now once you obtain the fossil the next thing you would have to do is revive it.

And once you do you will be introduce to the segmented pokemon scorpid. Now let me just say this design is Freaking adorable. This pokemon is based on the eurypterid which are basically very old sea scorpions. I personally love this pokemon as a pre evolution because it portrays everything that pre evolutions are, cute and adorable…. Wait shoot that’s the same thing. And once you train this pokemon up to level 30, it will evolve into this amazing pokemon here, Scorperion. this design so freaking awesome. I love the fact that it goes from an harmless and adorable critter, to a fierce and intimidating pokemon. I mean it is based on a sea scorpion after all. A typing that I would love to see this pokemon have is rock and poison. Rock because all fossils have to have it, and poison… for obvious reasons. Another typing I could see this pokemon having is rock water because it did live under the sea.

I can see this pokemon being a fast special attacker with some pretty decent special defense. In terms of moves this pokemon could get sludge bomb, sludge wave, ancient power, and hydro pump. And as for an ability this pokemon could get access to Compoundeyes or Poison Point. Overall this pokemon would be awesome to see and I would love to see it happen in pokemon sun and Moon. The next fossil I have for you guys is the plate fossil. This again is another brilliant design made by smiley. And since both fossils would have to be placed in the same area I believe the diving mechanic would work for this fossil as well. There really isn’t much else to say about this so let’s move on its prevolution. Orosteus is literally the cutest fakemon I’ve ever seen. It’s name is derived from the words Ore and Dunkleosteus. The Dunkleosteus is what Orosteus is based on and essentially it is a giant fish that lived about 360 million years ago.

Back then this animal was a hypercarnivorous apex predator. In simpler terms it was at the top of it’s food chain and it loves to eat meat. And if you take a look at it, it looks very scary. So I’d like you guys to meet my good friend monstrosteus. Now I know this pokemon looks very frightening, but when you look at its animal counterpart, it’s one ugly mother fu- For a typing I could see this pokemon being a Rock Steel type. Steel because if you take a look at the dunkleosteus’ description it states it has a heavily armored exterior. Another typing that could work would be a Rock Water type for the same reasons as scorperion. Stat wise Monstrosteus could be a bulky physical attacker with a pretty decent defense stat. For a move pool this pokemon could learn gyro ball stone edge iron head and aqua jet. And finally for an ability I feel it should get access to strong jaw or intimidate. I don’t know if gamefreak would ever make this a pokemon but one thing is for sure, I would not want to be swimming next to this guy.
