Ahoy thar, Legion! I have excellent news! House Wraith has yet another addition to add to its proud yet spotted family history: the Furax Wraith! The Furax itself isn’t one of my favorite melee weapons, honestly the knobby bits on each knuckle confuse me as they don’t really add anything. They aren’t sharp, it’s not like a counter weight, it’s just unsightly. Also unsightly are it’s stats. Wraiths tend to either be great or okay at best. This weapon is certainly not the greatest… but Legion I gotta give this one the thumbs up. For starters it’s a Wraith so, ya know my thoughts on them, but if you throw a berserk and fury on this thing… and mine aren’t even maxed as they gotta fit my non-supercharged loadouts, but plunk these suckers in place, drop in a Gaia’s Tragedy and…

Beauty in motion. I don’t know art, but I know what I like. It hits faster and more consistently than the Destreza, but does lack the easy finisher kills. That said, it more than makes up for it in hilariously awesome functionality. It’s friggin’ mesmerizin’, Legion. I can’t stop myself. I cannot stop myself. I could do this all day. I’ve soloed five 90 bombards without Iron Skin with this bad boy. I think they bugged out, but heck, I’ll take it! You’ve got a huge knockdown radius so you can ring out enemies that have too much health, and again I’m not even really focused on the damage. I just like punching things with these guys. You can go with a full crit build if you wanna, but I dunno, I’m not a big fan of body count as I think that timer should have been baked into melee to begin with as it’s a few seconds to short and taking up a mod slot to fix game design seems wrong. Though, if you’re gonna, I’d recommend throwing Weeping Wounds in there and focusing entirely on status chance as these guys don’t swing particularly hard. Aye they got a channeling bonus, and normally I like Killing Blow quite a bit, but swinging this fast will drain your entire energy supply in seconds so I think it’s a nifty addition, but not really something to build for.

Final Verdict: as if it needed sayin’, is totally a Keeper. While not the best melee weapon, it is definitely a joy to use. That enjoyment is entirely dependant on having a Gaia’s Tragedy, so if you have one, have at it! Speaking of having at it, ay! DE! When’s Rhino gettin’ that bare knuckle skin? I can still swing jingle bells but hiding a weapon entirely or scaling it down to a pixel ain’t in the cards? Come on now! Daddy needs to break something!
