What’s up guys, Anders here with another Black Desert video, today we are going to go over the global labs patch for this week but before we do that I want to thank the supporters of this channel, you guys help keep these videos going, so thank you so much for the support. If you want to help you can do so by subscribing to the channel if you haven’t already, liking or disliking this video, and hitting that bell icon.
Bell is good. So please ding the bell to get notified when I upload my next video. As for the global labs this week, we have a short one. Not a lot of changes. No class balance changes, so if you were expecting Successions to be looked at it doesn’t seem like that will happen, but they have added a Korea region server for the Global Labs test server and have plans to place other servers for the rest of the regions. This is a monumental change and a second attempt from Pearl Abyss to try and get more feedback from each region.
The reason I say this is monumental is because they gave up on this idea soon after the launch of the Global Labs test server. So the fact that they are going ahead and instituting new servers for the different regions they operate in is great. It allows us to test things more effectively without worry of server latency being an issue. Now the issue for me is since EU still is not able to access Global Labs normally because of GDPR, will EU even get a server or will we rely on NA. The NA server is also a question mark because if you play on NA and live on the East Coast like I do ping to both EU and NA are about the same. East Coast players in games where the central server is in California always feel forgotten in some sense to be honest. So I’m guessing they’ll have the NA server be in California, but a central location like Chicago or Austin would be best. Moving on, we now have the ability to sell all junk items from our inventory at the click of a button.
This is a Black Desert Mobile feature that is coming into the PC version of the game. I’m sure console will also have it at some point. It works while you talk to an NPC and ultimately saves you some clicks. They made some quality of life changes to guild skills. Previously you had to click the small plus symbol to learn a skill. Now you just need to click the icon or the plus symbol to learn the skill. You also no longer have the skill cooldowns show on your normal cooldown bar. Instead you see the cooldown on the guild skill window. This is a great change so that you are not cluttering your UI with countdown timers to guild skills you may otherwise not really care about. Musical Instrument performance rating has been increased to C, so you will have a new promotion quest to do and you’ll be able to create music with even more notes after acquiring the new rank. In Tier 10 news, they made the acquisition of Fern Roots a little easier.
Getting Fern Roots was the main bottleneck for the Dreamy Powder item, one of the three main items needed to craft the attempt for tier 10. You can do a weekly on Korean servers to get 30 Fern Roots. Now there is another daily that gives you Fern Roots. You have to capture horses to complete it and it is Training Level based, so if you are a Master Trainer you can take a Master level daily that requires you to capture Tier 4 horses and rewards you with 4 Fern Roots. And that’s pretty much it for this week’s global labs update guys.
Are you excited for that Musical Rank Increase, do you think having more regional servers in test server will be something significant? Let me know in the comments. And as always guys, thanks again for watching, thanks for listening. I’ll see you all in the next one. Take care..
