How to get better FAST (Fortnite Battle Royale Guide)

So you want to get better at Fortnite, but unfortunately you are a potato. You don’t know how to win, you cannot get kills. You want to get more than one kill before getting shotgunned in the face, or the butthole. I don’t know where they’re shooting you, but you’re dying. Then I think that this is the guide for you. Am I a goof? Yes. But do I know how to improve at this game drastically, rapidly, and more than pretty much any other way EVER MADE? Yeah, I do. Whether it’s H1Z1, PUBG, or Fortnite, battle royale games all have one fatal flaw, and that is: you have one life, and you are probably a pussy. That’s right! You’re a pussy! And so is everyone else in the game. Because you only have one life and the only way to quote-unquote “win” is to be the last man standing.

So, innately, you don’t want to be aggressive, you don’t wanna fight, and you just kind of wanna make your way through the game safely. And that’s the worst thing you can do, especially if you’re new to the game, because you’ll never improve. You’ll never be good, and you are never going to succeed long-term. I mean, technically you will succeed long-term if you put in hundreds and hundreds of hours playing this game because you will improve bit-by-bit.

But what you need to do, especially if you’re new, is fight. Get DIRTY. Jump in there every single time, land in the most popular zones, get aggressive: the second you hear a gunshot, run to it and fight them and work on your gunskill. Because there are so few opportunities for you to practice your gunskill, if you don’t force engagements and you don’t force yourself to practice you never will. If you don’t go and chase people down and hunt them you will never be able to, well, do this! Ok, well, this is a bad example. God dammit, come on, PLEASE! Ha ha! Bloom, everybody. Bloom. I highly, highly recommend you turn off the leaderboards, you turn off the stats, you don’t take a peek at your kill/death ratio or anything like that and you just focus on killing. Because when you focus on killing, even if you die here and there, you’re getting better. You’re improving at the game and when you get into a situation where you’re getting rushed by two people you might just come out on top because your gunskill – your ability to just mechanically play this game – is going to be better than the average guy.

Especially if they’re the idiots that are playing like pussies themselves. Easier said than done, I know, but the more confident and comfortable you get with the gunplay in this game, the more confident you’re going to be in panic situations. When you realize you’re in the top 2, instead of sweating profusely, you’re going to know exactly how to take out your opponent. You know that your shots are gonna connect. You’re gonna feel much, much better long-term.

Are you gonna win games all the time at the start, when you’re jumping in trying to shoot people? No! You’re gonna die within the first few minutes. But you’re also gonna get into more gunfights per minute, per hour, per day. That will make your dueling capabilities drastically, drastically improve. So if you are in the middle of a fight, you miss a shot, you run out of ammo, and you have to jump off the roof and shoot the guy in the face? You’re much more likely to pull that off if you practice.

So get in there, get your hands dirty, and battle. Now, my next big tip is: don’t sleep on building. I highly recommend you fly out to some random place, go chop down a bunch of fuckin’ trees, get some stone, and just start building bases. At first you’re going to suck. It’s going to feel weird and un-fluid. You’re gonna mess up your keybindings, you’re not gonna build a perfect base every time. But you need to be able to switch from stone to steel, steel to wood, er, wall to stairs to a platform over, and over, and over again, rapidly. Because if you’re in a panic situation, you need to get some sort of vertical advantage on a guy, you’re getting shot from multiple angles, you better know how to build the shit out of a fort and not question it.

You can’t be messing up keybinds, you can’t be messing up building materials, you need to be on point with this. Because the difference between a good player and a great player usually isn’t even the gunskill; it’s their ability to use their wood. Uh, like the building- the building material “wood”! Jesus Christ, you guys, get your head out of the gutter! Overall, I think that building is such an important tool to have. In this situation I get shot from both ends, I start building. Is it perfect? No. Is it messy? Yes. But does it save my life? Absolutely.

You need to be able to flick through these materials. You need to flick through, you know, stairs and walls over and over and over again, so that you can get yourself out of these sticky situations and in a situation that you can absolutely rip people’s fucking faces off with your assault rifle. Or shotgun, or sniper, or rockets, or your fists if you really, really want. That’s pretty much it for me, though, guys. I hope you guys enjoyed. I really do recommend you don’t sleep on building, because this is a huge portion of the game that’s gonna set you apart from many players, and in my opinion, it wins me more games than it loses…

Me… games…. It, well- it doesn’t really lose me games- It just- It helps me to win them. I’m done! That’s it, the guide’s ruined. I’m going! Thank you guys so much for watching. I’ll see you guys later. Bye-bye. So I’m really just diving into Fortnite now. I plan to make more guides and videos. If you haven’t seen the ones, check out the video on the top and the bottom there.

I think you’re going to enjoy them. I’ll see you guys soon..
