Does Far Cry 5 go too far with the gory thrills? “Make no treaty with them!” “And show them no mercy.” Let’s just say it’s not for the squeamish. In this first-person shooter, players take on the role of a U.S. Marshall trying to take down a violent religious cult. “I have a warrant issued for your arrest. On the suspicion of kidnapping with the intent to harm.” Just like the earlier titles in this series, No. 5 is all about hunting and killing. Using guns, bows, explosives, and other weapons, players terminate human enemies and animals in bloody fashion. There are also scenes of torture and suicide. Mixed into the gameplay is the option to drink alcohol or eat pot brownies, both of which impair players’ vision. “I was wondering when you were gonna stop by.” As for swearing, expect plenty of F-bombs, the C-word, and more.
