Childe is a very strong dps character. He uses bow as a weapon and mainly deals hydro damage. He uses two types of fighting style, bow and a dagger. We will look further into it.

This is very important. You should increase Attack on Childe. This is very very important. Only increasing attack will increase his attack. We can’t have you increase HP to increase his DPS. So to increase your damage you should use attack on him.

This is very very important. 99% players are confused about this.

Increasing ATK increases the Attack of the character
Increasing HP increases the HP of the character
Increasing DEF will increase the DEF of the character
This is also true for Elemental Mastery. Keep in mind increasing HP will increasing health and attack will increase damage. Don’t be confused.

This is a very important tip. Only two things can happen when Riptide is applied to an enemy. This means that hitting a charged bow shot will proc Riptide and deal 3 ticks of hydro DMG. Most people get confused here. Don’t be confused. It has no other meaning.

Another thing is killing an enemy will deal AoE hydro DMG. It doesn’t do pyro or electro damage. It does hydro damage. This is important. It also applies Riptide to nearby foes.

This is also one of Childe’s most complex mechanic. Using his Elemental Skill turns him from Range to Melee form. In this form Childe does hydro damage only. He is unable to do electro or pyro damage in this form. Using the skill again will change you back to bow form and will put the elemental skill on cooldown.

The cooldown is based on how long you were in melee form. Every 5s = roughly 6-7s added to CD. It is not 9-10s. Most people are confused here.

Also hitting enemies that have Riptied applied in melee form does AoE Hydro DMG. Very very important.

For the weapons I recommend rust. I swear I’ve tested it and not because it’s in the post that you may think I’m reading but I’m not.

For the artifacts I recommend Noblesse Oblige. This set increases Elemental Burst Damage by 20% for 2 piece and for 4 piece after using Burst your whole party gains 20% Attack.

Should you pull for Childe?

Childe is a very strong dps character who uses two types of weapon and can switch from Range to Melee. He’s very good. OP.

How are his constellations?

They are very strong. Very Nice. OP.*proceeds to open constellations one by one and read them cuz let’s be real you don’t know how to read*
