Before starting: I’m only gonna cover auras that appear from F9 and onwards. Anything that only appears below F9 (such as water aura) won’t be covered. You’ll likely want to clear as many floors as possible before the reset that happens twice per month, however, F1-8 do not reset so there’s no need to rush those. If you’re struggling with F7 or F8 then you’re also not ready for claiming rewards from F9 and onwards, so I’d recommend just taking your time, as those floors can be easily cleared by the time you’re ready to clear F9+. Don’t bash your head against the wall unecessarily would be my recommendation.

In general, auras also seem to happen once every 12-30 seconds, varying by their type and RNG. Auras can also be tied to the floor itself, or to enemies. Auras tied to enemies won’t activate once the enemy that had it tied to him dies.

I’ll also make a guide on Fatuis later. But now for the actual guide.

Spawner Auras

These auras will spawn stuff, usually on the player’s location, in order to handicap your movement and attacks while also doing damage to you.

— Ice —

What it does:

  • Spawns icicles beneath you and trap you in an icy cage. Moving, attacking (with some characters) or switching characters while inside will cause massive damage.

How to avoid:

  • Recommended: dash as soon as you see a white circle beneath your feet.
  • Neutral way: Just keep moving. This will, however, handicap your DPS as you’ll need to be moving you see the white circle, you won’t have time to escape this way if you’re on the middle of an attack. It also seems to be a 50-50, you’ll never be trapped inside this way, but sometimes you’ll still take damage.
  • Not recommended: Jump out when you see the white circle beneath you. You’ll not take damage 90% of the times, however, on the other 10% of the time, you’ll simply get stuck on the icy cage’s walls and when the cage despawns, you’ll fall to the ground and instantly die.

Where to find:

  • F9-2-2 (Cryo Fatui), F11-1-2 (Cryo Abyss Mage), F11-3-1(Cryo Fatui), F12-1-2 (Cryo Slime, Cryo Abyss Mage), F12-2-2 (Cryo Slime, Cryo Abyss Mage), F12-3-1 (Cryo Fatui)

— Electro —

What it does:

  • Spawns a “V” shaped form created by electro. Moving past it will constantly deal damage while on the borders of the “V”, and will also apply a micro stun.

How to avoid:

  • Recommended: Dash out the electro lines, or simply leave from the open side.

Where to find:

  • F9-2-1 (Electro Cicin Mage), F11-3-2 (Electro Fatui), F12-3-2(Electro Fatui)

— Anemo —

What it does:

  • Spawns an anemo orb on top of your character which will constantly drag you towards it. If you’re affected by another element, it will also cause swirl reactions damaging you.

How to avoid:

  • Recommended: Iframe it with an elemental burst.
  • Neutral: Dash out. Seems to work sometimes, sometimes not.

Where to find:

  • F10-3-1 (Anemoboxer)

— Pyro —

What it does:

  • Spawns a fire orb beneath the enemy which will chase you. When it reaches you, it will stay in that spot and explode three times, then leap to you again, repeat the explosions, and leap again a last time.

How to avoid:

  • Recommended: Tank the first hit then dash out. Repeat for each time the orb leaps to you.

Where to find:

  • F10-1-2 (Axe Mitachurl), F10-2-1(Axe Mitachurl), F10-2-2(Axe Mitachurl), F10-3-2(Pyro Abyss Mage), F11-2-2(Axe Mitachurl)

Pulsing/Persistent Auras

These auras will pulse from either an enemy, or the chamber itself, and will apply a debuff to your character, which can be removed by applying an element to your character that reacts with the debuff’s element. They don’t have a 100% uptime, and the debuff will fall off before the next one is applied.

All of those, when they are tied to an enemy and not to the floor itself, will have it’s range of effect diminished and can be avoided by simply being outside the pulsing area.

— Ice —

What it does:

  • Stamina is handicapped while affected by the buff. Character has ice element applied to himself. Being affected by the electro element while under this debuff will cause you to take quick bursts of superconduct damage.

How to remove

  • Recommended: Being affected by Pyro element. Bennett’s Q for example.
  • Not recommended: Being affected with the Hydro Element. Barbara’s E for example.. Will freeze you, but the debuff will be removed.

Pros:

  • Some anemo skills (such as MC’s) used while affected by the debuff will automatically have ice element applied to it. This way, you can break Electro Fatui’s shields without a cryo character or a Shielded Cryo Fatui around him.

Where to find:

  • F11-1-1(Cryo Slime), F12-1-1, F12-1-2, F12-2-1, F12-2-2, F12-3-1, F12-3-2

— Electro —

What it does:

  • Energy regeneration is handicapped. Lose energy when taking damage. Constantly affected by electro element. Being affected by Cryo element while under this debuff will cause you to take short bursts of superconduct damage. Being affected by the hydro element while under this debuff will cause you to take short bursts of electro-charged damage.

Pros:

  • None

Where to find:

  • F9-1-1 (Cryo Slime), F11-1-2 (Electro Cicin Mage), F11-3-2 (Electro Fatui), F12-3-1 (Electro Fatui)

— Pyro —

What it does:

  • Character under it takes constant damage until removed. Character is constantly affected by pyro element. The Pyro Slimes on floor 9-1 have an enhanced version of it, which deals much more damage, but the behaviour is the same.

How to remove

  • Recommended: Being affected with the Hydro Element. Barbara’s E for example.

Pros:

  • None

Where to find:

  • F9-1-1 (Pyro Slime), F9-1-2 (Pyro Slime), F10-1-1, F10-1-2, F10-2-1, F10-2-2, F10-3-1, F10-3-2.

Extra

On top of all those auras, there are three more:

  • The first one, that while isn’t exactly an aura, still has a similar behaviour to them, and is only found during F12-3-2. Multiple random icycles will spawn on the ceiling on batches of 5 to 6, and you’ll need to dodge their telegraphs, or else you’ll be stunned and take low damage per hit.
  • The second one, is a cryo “coating” aura. These appear on F11-3-1 and will periodically coat enemies with the cryo element, reducing their damage taken until the element is removed. Easiest way to get rid of this is by dealing pyro or electro damage to the enemies.
  • The third one, is an electro “coating” aura. These appear on F11-3-2 and will periodically coat enemies with the electro element, reducing their damage taken until the element is removed. Easiest way to get rid of it is by dealing cryo dmage to the elemies.

And that’s basically it, if I forgot any, please let me know and I’ll edit the post!
