Raid: Shadow Legends F2P/Low Spender Doom Tower (Dark Fae) Ninja & Free Champs Normal Floor 001-040 (Secret Rooms Included!) By: wsoul13

Thank you for Reading! Here’s what I’m about in an interview with /u/CluelessEcon

And Part 2 Talking Resource Management for F2P/Low Spenders

I am the author of the F2P/Low Spender Team Building Guide (No Legendaries) and the Seminal F2P Update Series detailing how I got Arbiter without Legendaries, Coldheart, Team Counterattack, AoE HP Burn, Massive Shields, Unkillable… Message me or ask questions!

Doom Tower has Rotated and we are in the age of the Dark Fae. What can you expect from this new version of the Tower as progressing F2P/Low Spenders? I’m using my F2P Trinity described in my Team Building Guide linked above coupled with Ninja & Free Champs for you to copy or improve on if you are early in the game. Here are links to my previous Doom Tower Guides:

Waves and Bosses: Normal Floor 001-040

F2P Trinity + Ninja & Free Champ Team:

  1. Lv60 Kael/Starter (F2P Trinity Nuke/Poison)

  2. Lv60 Warmaiden (F2P Trinity AoE Dec Def)

  3. Lv60 High Khatun (F2P Trinity Speed Booster)

  4. Lv60 Ninja (HP Burn/Control)

  5. Lv60 Valerie (Shield Gen)

  6. Lv60 Armiger (Destroy Set) for Boss Fights

One Team for the first 40 Floors and we will be using these lv60s when applicable to a Secret Room as well. The Waves are a bit more annoying this time around with several Floors having Unkillable Champs but definitely can be easily done on Auto. Ninja will be the key Champ we will focus on for this iteration of my Normal Doom Tower run. Ninja brings HP Burn, Control and Nuke all in one Champ. If you are following my Team Building Guide I still suggest bringing up your Starter first as your Campaign Farmer then having Ninja come in as your Poisoner (Boss Killer). My Warmaiden isn’t in Lifesteal Set anymore but Kael and Ninja are. High Khatun should be in all Speed Sets. Valerie is on Shiled Set, specifically for Scarab King, with HP% Chest and Gloves. You can grab your Shield Set early in the Game through the Market or early Fire Knight Runs. These links are old but the Stats should be similar until we get a new datamine.

Stat Thresholds For Early Gamers:

  • 170+ Speed (200+ for Speed Booster)

  • 10 Accuracy per Dungeon Floor (100+ first 40 Floors Normal)

  • 30k HP

  • 100% Crit Rate in Destroy Set for Armiger

Normal Floor 10 – Bommal the Dreadhorn

Armiger in, Valerie out.

The new “hardest boss” in Doom Tower is undoubtedly Bommal the Dreadhorn. Your run as a new player in Doom Tower could potentially end here. While his mechanics may not seem like much, the sheer damage you receive from Bombs and his Bomb Ads can kill your Team really fast. For newer players your only real hope is to race past this Timer of getting past the Boss before the Bomb Ads blow. Oddly enough Dec Turn Meter is actually quite a good choice for the Damage Plan as it can really slow Bommal Down combined with Dec Speed from High Khatun. The RNG here will be avoiding the Stuns and getting some top end Damage rolls in the fight. Kael, Ninja and Armiger can deal some good damage here even if not specifically geared for Damage. Warmaiden can put the Dec Def on to really turn the Clock in your favor.

Normal Floor 20 – Scarab King

Armiger in, Warmaiden out.

Scarab King is a tough Boss to fight and if you are new in the Game and you somehow beat Bommal, your run could end here. Scarab is a Boss where you will need to get through his Mechanics to take him down. Apart from Solo Champs that can take him down (Vergis), most people will use a 1:1 Shield Duration to Cooldown Champ (Metal Shaper, Lodric Falconheart, etc.) coupled with an Armiger/Coldheart in Destroy Set, Dec Speed and Dec Turn Meter Champs. Since we are still early into Doom Tower we can get away with running just Valerie in Shield Set as our Shield Gen Champ. You want to Manual in Round 2 to make sure your skills are on Cooldown vs the Boss. You will use Valerie Extend Buff Duration first then hopefully you finish off the Scarab before your Shields go down. Armiger has to be on Destroy Set, there really is no way around that. Even at lv50 Armiger A2 will really chunk down Scarab King HP with Destroy Set on to keep your Clock moving fast.

Normal Floor 30 – Celestial Griffin

Wave Clear Team.

Griffin is still really strong but there are things we can do against him with accessible Champs. Since we are still in early on in Normal Doom Tower, we are gonna be fine just dealing Damage and timing our Debuffs and Buffs. I’ll talk about his mechanics more once we hit that wall with this Comp which is most likely the next time we see him on Normal. You will want Team Block Debuffs that you can put on right before the Debuff Swap the Griffin will do to you. Before that you will want to stack the usual Debuffs on him: Dec Speed, Dec Attack, Dec Def, Poison and HP Burn.

Floor 90 No Lego Normal Celestial Griffin

Normal Floor 40 – Dark Fae

Armiger in, Valerie out.

We are looking to apply some quick pressure on Dark Fae with our AoE Champs in Kael and Warmaiden while locking out the Mirror Copies with Ninja and High Khatun. Armiger is here for some Damage and that Dec Turn Meter. The key to beating Dark Fae this early in Doom Tower is to make sure all your Skills are ready before the Boss Fight. You want to immediately Speed Boost with High Khatun followed by Warmaiden AoE Dec Def then Starter to AoE Nuke. Whatever is left behind Ninja will try to Freeze. Armiger can Turn Meter Lock whoever is left behind then it should be relatively safe to Auto from there.

Normal Secret Rooms 01-04

Secret Rooms are the best Doom Tower Rewards. Even Progressing Players can benefit from clearing these early Secret Rooms on Normal to eventually get one of the Best Doom Tower Champs: Archmage Hellmut then later on Akoth the Seared. I’m trying to show off the raw power of the F2P Trinity here but also something else that I’ve mentioned in Faction Wars Guides in the past: The Sparring Pit. If you have followed my Team Building Guide and also followed my Gem Spending Recommendations on my 90 Day Guide linked on there, you will have access to all 5 Slots on your Sparring Pit. Use these slots to get some Campaign Rares and weak Epics up to lv30 or lv40. They can help fill out your Faction Wars Teams to get some Glyphs early on or be your Tank Champs in these early Secret Rooms so your Attackers can survive the 3 Waves.

My Difficulty Ratings Explained:

  • Easy – Over time you will accumulate enough 6* Champs for this Room just trying to Progress through Content

  • Moderate – Because of either the Restriction or the Room Level you will need some amount of Power to break through

  • Hard – You will need as many 6* Champs as you can have for this Room

  • Very Hard – Because of the Restriction and the Room Level you will need a Specific Champ or a lot of Power to break through

  • Impossible – By F2P/Low Spender Standards is highly impractical to pursue and use resources on

Secret Room Normal 01 – All Rares – Moderate

  1. Lv60 Kael/Starter (F2P Trinity Nuke/Poison)

  2. Lv60 Warmaiden (F2P Trinity AoE Dec Def)

  3. Lv60 Valerie (Shield Gen)

  4. Lv50 Diabolist (Speed Booster)

  5. Lv40 Skullsworn (Tank)

If you built up 2 of the 3 F2P Trinity Champs this Room should be Easy but I understand there is a bit of aversion from Rares for some players. I do recommend leaning on your Strong Rares to get you through Content as they have proven to be very useful in things like Advance Quests and Secret Rooms.

Secret Room Normal 02 – All HP Type – Hard

HP Champs are hard to get for Free or to Farm for but there are some notable Rares that you would want for the game like Painkeeper (Carry/Budget Unkillable), Gnarlhorn (Control), and Coffin Smasher (Dec Attack/HP Burn). Depending where you are at in the game, this might be a skip for you early on.

Secret Room Normal 03 – All Spirit Affinity – Easy

  1. Lv60 High Khatun (F2P Trinity Speed Booster)

  2. Lv60 Armiger (Dec Turn Meter)

  3. Lv50 Armiger/Elfguard (Dec Turn Meter)

  4. Shield Guard (Nuke)

  5. Zephyr Sniper (Tank)

Having High Khatun early on will help you get this Room pretty easily. Round out your Team with Uncommons that you will most likely bring up for the Game anyway like: Armiger, Zephyr Sniper, and Shield Guard. Elfguard is a really decent Dec Turn Meter Champ as well for Spiders but Armiger is just so much better all around that building a second one might be better.

Secret Room Normal 04 – Telerian Alliance (Barbarians, High Elves, Bannerlords, Sacred Order) – Easy

  1. Lv60 Warmaiden (F2P Trinity AoE Dec Def)

  2. Lv60 High Khatun (F2P Trinity Speed Booster)

  3. Lv60 Valerie (Shield Gen)

  4. Lv60 Armiger (Destroy Set) for Boss Fights

  5. Food

This room is too Easy. You get to use your Wave Clear Team minus Kael and Ninja (Elhain and Athel would qualify). You can add Armiger to the mix then another Champ you feel like. Should be a romp on Auto.
