How to Get the Riddler’s Mind-Worm Mount | WoW Mount Guide

Hello everyone! My name is Gandalin and welcome to another World of Warcraft guide. Today I’ll be showing you how to get the Riddler’s Mind-Worm mount. Make sure you let me know in the comments what other mounts you want me to make guides for. The Riddler’s Mind-Worm was added in Patch 7.2, but there was no clear way to obtain it. Blizzard added many such secrets in Legion, and it was only through the combined effort of thousands of players in the Secret Finders Discord community that the way to get this mount was discovered. They figured out that you have to find and click a bunch of pages that are hidden throughout the world. Each page gives you a clue for where to find the next, and they must be clicked in order.

As with all good secret codes, there is a cipher that will let you understand it. In this case, the clues given by each page match up with images found in World of Warcraft: Chronicle – Volume 1, a lore summary book that Blizzard released in March of 2016. Many players guessed that the book was the key and then realized that the numbers of the first several pages actually formed the ISBN number of the book. So as I go through where to find each page, I’ll also let you know what the clue is referring to.

Let me preface this by saying that there is a lot of back-and-forth travel involved with this, so I suggest you do it on mage or have a mage come with you to port you around. It makes it a lot easier. If that’s not an option, I would suggest setting your regular hearthstone to Legion Dalaran so that you have two hearths to get back there for the portal network. We start off in Legion Dalaran. The first page is located in a bookshelf on the ground floor of the Legerdemain Lounge. The clue it gives reads, “…of sea, spirit, and self… .” This clue refers to the Cosmology Chart in the book. At the intersection of Water, Spirit, and Reality is the Emerald Dream. Rather than inside the Dream, the next page is located near one of the Emerald Dream portals in Azeroth, specifically the one in Duskwood.

The best way for Alliance players to get there is to take the Legion Dalaran portal to Stormwind and then fly southeast. The best way for Horde players is to take the Legion Dalaran portal to Orgrimmar and then either take the portal to the Blasted Lands or the zeppelin to Northern Stranglethorn before flying to Duskwood. If you’re a druid, you can just use the Duskwood portal in the Emerald Dreamway. The page is on a table near the moonwell and the clue reads, “…the first of lords to fall… .” This refers to the image in Chronicle of the battle between the Elemental Lords of Azeroth and the Titan-Forged. The first Elemental Lord to fall to the Titans was Ragnaros.

He was also the first one to fall to players. This leads you to the third page, which can be found inside the Firelands raid. To get there, head to Stormwind or Orgrimmar and take the Cataclysm portal to Mount Hyjal. Then fly south to find the entrance to the Firelands. Again, druids can use the Hyjal portal in the Emerald Dreamway. Enter the raid on any size or difficulty and make your way to Ragnaros. If you don’t want to clear the whole raid, you can engage Alysrazor, grab three of the feathers she drops, and immediately fly across the gap to Ragnaros’s room. Either way, the page is located on the left side of the platform.

It gives you the clue, “…the wind, the eye… .” Wind refers to Al’Akir and eye refers to C’Thun. If you look on the map of the Black Empire, a notable landmark on the border of their territories is the easternmost river in the area that would become known as Uldum. The best way to get there is to take the Uldum portal from Stormwind or Orgrimmar.

The page is located between two palm trees near the water’s edge and reads, “…the plume, the tomb, a scarab moon… .” This clue refers to the image of Ordered Azeroth in the book. The plume refers to the volcanic plume from Un’Goro Crater, the tomb refers to the Vault of Y’Shaarj, and a scarab moon refers to Ahn’Qiraj. If you draw a line from one to the next, you get an arrow pointing at the Vault. The next page is located inside the Siege of Orgrimmar raid on any difficulty. To get there, take the Legion Dalaran portal to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms and then fly to the raid entrance between the two Shrines. You’ll need to fight your way past the first three bosses to get to the Vault of Y’Shaarj. If you’re having trouble soloing any of the bosses, you can always queue up for LFR difficulty by talking to an NPC at the Seat of Knowledge, which is located atop Mogu’shan Palace.

Select the Vale of Eternal Sorrows wing. Once you make it to the Vault, the page is located in one of the southwest alcoves. It gives the clue, “…in snow, sand, and stone… .” This refers to three of the Titan facilities in Azeroth: Ulduar, Uldum, and Uldaman. On the map, they form a triangle, near the center of which is the Well of Eternity. Rather than heading to the present day Well, which is the Maelstrom, you’ll be heading back in time via the Well of Eternity dungeon, which you can access from the Caverns of Time in Tanaris. The quickest way to get there is to take the Legion Dalaran portal to Wyrmrest Temple, fly to Northrend Dalaran, and take the portal in the Violet Citadel to the Caverns of Time. The page is located near the end of the dungeon, along the edge of the Well. It’s clue reads, “…behold the battle, unblinking… .” This refers to the image in Chronicle of Xuen battling the Thunder King.

The tiger statues are watching the battle and not blinking because, well, they’re statues. These statues can be found in-game near Shado-Pan Monastery in Kun-Lai Summit. Again, take the portal to the Vale from Legion Dalaran and fly northwest to the Monastery. The page is between the front paws of the left statue. It reads, “…bejeweled watcher… .” This references the image of statues guarding the entrance to the Halls of Origination in Uldum. Head back there using the same method as before, and fly southeast to the Halls. To the east of the entrance, on the base of one of the statues, you’ll find the final page, which reads, “…ray of sunrise…

.” This is the trickiest clue. If you look at the map of the Sundered World, there’s a compass located near the Eastern Kingdoms. The Sun rises in the east, and if you follow the eastern ray of the compass, it points you to the shoreline of Westfall. Alliance should head back to Stormwind one more time and fly southwest. Horde should head to Orgrimmar and take the zeppelin to Northern Stranglethorn before flying northwest. Northwest of the Raging Chasm you’ll find a half-buried rowboat. Inside you’ll find the Gift of the Mind- Seekers, which contains the mount. You have to be level 110 to learn the mount, but after that it’s account-bound and all of your characters can use it. And remember you have to click all of these pages in the order I listed them. You won’t see them if you try to skip ahead. I should also note that you have to do this all within one weekly reset or you’ll lose your progress. And there you have it! A mind-bending adventure that took you all over the world and even back in time! Enjoy your new mount! And that’s it for this video!
