Hi! I’m Hazel, and this is a guide to the Prophet Skitra raid boss in Ny’alotha on Normal and Heroic difficulty. This is one of those fights that’s going to be cake for a guild and then a little spicier in a pug. You’ll see why shortly. We start in Phase One, and Skitra will be spamming Shadow Shock at the tank. They get a stacking debuff, and tanks should swap around six-ish stacks. Shred Psyche will target a random player and after five seconds, they’ll spawn an add. That add casts Psychic Outburst, which is big raid damage with a distance dropoff. Basically, drop it off to the side, everyone moves away for the Outburst and then swap to it and kill it ASAP.

As long as it stays up it’ll be roasting the raid with Psychic Reveberations so take it down quickly. That is the entire first phase. In Phase Two, Skitra will mark everyone with debuffs as either Red Team or Blue Team and cast Illusionary Projections. Copies of the boss will spawn along the sides of the room. Red team can see half, Blue team sees the other half, but only one copy can be seen by both teams and that’s the one you need to kill.

One red and one blue player are going to need to work out which copy they can both see, and quickly. If you kill the wrong one, it’ll Mindquake for big raid damage. Dark Ritual is also stacking up damage taken throughout the phase, and Illusionary Bolt is laying down constant pain. No pressure or anything. So, there may or may not be a weak aura floating around that marks the right one for you, and that may or may not be patched out before the fight goes live. Assuming that you cannot just Weakaura your way through this mechanic, your best bet will be to mark the spawn points of the illusions. One player can recite the locations of their prophets, and the other team can stop them when they get to one they have too. Once you kill the correct Illusion, Skitra will come back and Phase One resumes. On Normal, that’s the whole fight.

On Heroic, you’ll see one more mechanic during Phase One with the Images of Absolution. This is a marching wall of adds which you need to root, stun, or knock back to make gaps in. Touching them hurts. They’re immune to damage for 30 seconds, after which you can clear them up with a quick AOE. So, that is Prophet Skitra in Ny’alotha! I’ve got more guides on my channel and I also stream on Twitch if you’re into that sort of thing. Thanks for watching and have a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye!.
