Hi! I’m Hazel, and this is a guide to the Remnant of Ner’zhul fight in the Sanctum of Domination on Normal and Heroic difficulty. The boss will summon an Orb of Torment, which does damage to random players until it’s been dealt with. Getting rid of these is a three step process. Step one is to crack its shell by hitting it with Suffering, which is a line attack aimed at the tank.
Tanks can point that at active Orbs and everyone else can stay out of the way. Step two is to kill it, pretty straightforward. Once it’s dead, it keeps casting, so it needs to be picked up and tossed off the edge by a player. That’s a good job for somebody fast.
Malevolence is a very dangerous debuff that will go onto at least two players at a time.
When it’s dispelled, everyone will get knocked back away from the location of the person that just got dispelled, including the person that just got dispelled, thye get kicked backwards That can and will bump people to their doom, so the raid stays clear of the edges and the dispel target can run to one side and face the edge. Dispelling the wrong person or doing it too soon can kill people here so healers be extra careful and check where your target is standing before you pull the trigger. If it’s on you, whatever you do, do not put your back to the edge. Grasp of Malice does damage in this spoke-like pattern, sidestep out of that. Aura of Spite brings down waves of swirls to avoid, watch your feet and don’t be in them when they burst.
And at 80, 60 and 30% health Shatter will pop another piece of armor, doing a wave of heavy raid damage.
You can rotate healer cooldowns for that. On normal, that’s the fight. On Heroic, dispelling Malevolence leaves behind a permanent pool of Lingering Malevolence. If you’re sending the debuffs to the edge anyways that’s fine, just make sure you leave gaps for people to toss off the Orbs of Torment from.
And that is Remnant of Ner’zhul in the Sanctum of Domination! Thanks for watching, I’ve got more videos like this if you want and have a wonderful, wonderful day. Bye!.
