Why do this farm?

Runecloth! Preparing for the pre-patch and Relic of the Past vendor shuffle. Guide coming Soon (TM).

Huge transmog variety! I got 155 different pieces worth over 1.000 gold.

1. Get classic tailoring. You can train this in your faction’s cities. (I still don’t know if this actually is required. If you know how tailoring and increased cloth drops work, let me know)

2. Use a druid or a monk. 1 monk is required per group. The rest should be druids.

3. Get the appropriate addons to make your life easier. See this guide for reference.

4. Get naked gachiBASS

5. No, seriously, get your character naked. You don’t want to 1 shot the mobs. More bellow.

This is what I got:

2650 Runecloth per hour Google Sheet

Expected per hour value:

Raw gold: 333g

Medium sell rate (1 week to 1 month): 9k

Long sell rate (several months up to over a year): 39k

Total: 48k

Though, this per hour value doesn’t mean all that much. I will NOT be selling the Runecloth, but using it to vendor shuffle, come pre-patch.

It’s very likely that the price of most of this transmog will drastically drop. A LOT of people are probably going to be farming this.

If you’re unsure how to go about selling transmog, you can follow this guide. By using the strings and operations I provide, you will eventually sell it.

Getting there:

If you have the Silithus portal available to you in your main BfA city, take that.

If not, you’re wrong. Good luck.

You need to talk to Zidormi to see old Silithus.

Statue placement <—- click

One monk per group is optimal.

Monks should place their statue in the white circle. Monks don’t want to instantly kill the mobs, as to allow the second monk to also hit them, so the other group can also loot.

Remove gear as necessary, as to not one shot the mobs.

3 druids per group is optimal. Druids should be totally gearless.

Pull anything into the circle. Use Sunfire and Starfall to pull (spec Balance).

Final words

This is one of the very popular Runecloth farms, as of writing this guide. There may be better farms, which I’m still exploring. Stay tuned for other farms for Relic of the Past.

I may have messed up and this is only 9 hours worth of farming. I’m not sure! If you get a good group, you will get significantly more than the numbers you find in this guide! Some times, I wasn’t in a full group, other times it was only 5 people farming!

I’ve started streaming! Follow me and watch the farms live and come hang out! I’m looking for buddies to farm with!

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions and critique.

Happy farming 🙂
